Vice President of Engineering

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Engineering responsible for System Integration to lead our engineering team in driving the continued innovation, development, and enhancement of our electric marine powertrain systems. As part of our extended leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable marine propulsion.

Evoy Vita is a marine technology company that develops high-performance, fast-charging electric boat motor systems for commercial and recreational marine applications, as well as fully electric 5.5m and 7m commercial RIBs designed for port, marina, coastguard, and sport club operations. Compatible with high-speed DC charging, Evoy offers in-board and outboard electric motor systems with outputs of 120-400 HP, providing instant plug-and-play solutions for the market. Evoy electric motor systems and Vita commercial workboats are among the fastest charging on the market, supercharging from 10% to 80% in less than an hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering guidance and leadership to the system integration group, delivering outstanding solutions that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Lead the design and development of electric inboard and outboard propulsion systems, overseeing all stages from conceptualization to production.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and sales, to deliver cutting-edge products that meet market demands.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Manage the budget, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure timely and successful project execution.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of leadership in engineering is a plus.
  • Solid experience in system integration, preferably within the marine or automotive industry. Experience in the design of large, complex assemblies and their installation into vehicles would be advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly line build procedures.
  • Deep understanding of sustainable propulsion technologies and a passion for environmental responsibility.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous exposure to international standards and regulations in the marine industry is a plus.

Additional Experience Valued:

If you’ve got experience with high-voltage batteries, control systems, and process automation, that’s a huge plus. Bonus points if you’re familiar with LEAN production, wiring diagrams, or maritime systems. Also, if you’ve worked with electric drivetrains or have forklift/crane certification, we’d love to hear from you!
