The strong focus of SailGP for a sustainable solution is aligned with the vision of Evoy, eliminating emissions from boats. Evoy’s new high-output electric boat, from premium boat builder Goldfish, will showcase the future of electric marine power.  The boat will act as SailGP’s VIP Guest chaser being the only spectator boat allowed on the racecourse as the +50 knot sailboats race around the course. In addition, Evoy will outfit one of SailGP’s support boats with a 150hp 100% electric motor as part of a ‘pilot partnership’. Pending its success, a plan will be implemented to transition the remainder of the SailGP boats to electric motors together with Evoy.  

SailGP – the sport’s pinnacle league featuring the world’s fastest sail racing – will set a new standard as the first climate positive sports and entertainment property, while delivering actions and innovations that advance the global adoption of clean energy. Underpinning the plan is a diversification of the league, with the goal of immediately progressing gender and racial inclusivity.
