Lake, inland and coastal cruising boat manufacturer, SAY Carbon Yachts, has recently placed a significant order with Evoy.

SAY Carbon Yachts have ordered three 400hp Evoy inboard engines, each supplied with two battery packs, first delivery Jan 2023.
Each engine will be installed in SAY 29 models, with each boat a full carbon made launch, with paired-back, sports interior styling and sharp-looking exterior design.
Weighing-in at just under 2000kg displacement, this high power-to-weight ratio model is available with either Internal Combustion engines, or Full Electric, in this case via Evoy’s 400hp ‘Hurricane’ series, 300+ kW inboard engine.
The exquisite and futuristic looking SAY 29 does little to hide its intention of offering high-speed cruising, with incredible handling and stunning good looks beside.
Peak power for the 400hp is around 450Kw where over 50 knots high-speed, adrenaline-fueled moments can be dialed-in for short periods of time, but with the two-battery pack option installed, a ‘normal’ cruising range of 25nm at 20knots is readily available.
For our company, the order represents the latest in what has been a surge of interest from the recreational boating market in the past 12-months.
Our early years were mainly wrapped-up with testing and development via commercial marine and offshore fishing industry customers, with boats often operating in extreme local sea and weather conditions.

“In the past 12 months, we have sold electric engine and battery systems to leisure marine brands and dealerships in more than 11 countries, and our doors are fully open, with production lines set to cope with high demand forecasted for 2023.”
SAY will offer their mainly German, Swiss and Austrian target-markets with emission-free electric propulsion units that are fast, efficient and almost entirely maintenance-free.

“Their ‘smart-monitoring’ control app, with 24/7 real-time monitoring of battery charge status, is an example of how Evoy always have the end-customer in mind. Features such as setting trip-logs and charging alerts and warning notifications and so forth, are the kind of functionality features that only Evoy were able to provide.”
